Milana

Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub is an American comedian, actress and activist. Her parents were Jewish parents in the Soviet Union and started her career as a child actress when she immigrated to the United States. Her appearances as Lily Adams in AT&T TV commercials from 2013 until 2016 - and then since 2020 - made her famous. She was a regular host on the Yahoo! Screen science fiction show Other Space (2015). Additionally, she was regular on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016–2017). Vayntrub was also cast as Squirrelgirl in Marvel Rising in 2018 following her casting in the pilot TV series for New Warriors. Vayntrub, was a Jewish person was born in Tashkent (Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic), USSR. At the age of two she left together with her parents to the U.S. to escape antisemitism. She settled in West Hollywood. Her family's financial troubles led to her acting in Mattel Barbie commercials from the age of five. Vayntrub briefly attended Beverly Hills High School. Following her sophomore year, she dropped out and earned an GED. She continued, however, to obtain a Bachelor of Arts, Communication from University of California San Diego. She was a part of the Upright Citizens Brigade, and learned improv comedy.
